2019 Race Calendar for Valencia Ciudad del Running

Valencia Ciudad del Running has published its race calendar for 2019. This year will again feature a number of big trials over the next few months, with races over all distances. There will be over fifty events, among them the five IAAF Gold Label races that have catapulted Valencia Ciudad del Running to the summit of world athletics.

This year sees the 15th Divina Pastora Circuit, with the addition of a new race — The ‘Round The City Race’ for Social Inclusion, and changes to some of the city’s classic races.

The major races of 2019

Valencia will again hold major international events in 2019. The Valencia-Trinidad Alfonso Half-Marathon is already the world’s fastest race over this distance, holding both the Men’s and the Women’s world records. It is hoped the race will repeat these successes on the 27th of October 2019.

The Valencia-Trinidad Alfonso EDP Marathon seeks to turn the city into the world’s centre for road-racing after having been rated as one of the planet’s Top Ten marathons in 2018. The new date for the Valencia Marathon will be the 1st of December 2019. Its start will be held in parallel with that of the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso 10-km Race.

The Triathlon will once again be be held in Valencia

Triathlon fans will be able to enjoy the three sports on three beaches and at other venues, with each event being given its place in the city’s sporting calendar.
