More than 4,000 runners already signed up for 2016 Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon

The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon, organized by SD Correcaminos Athletics Club and the Valencia Government, has had an excellent first month of ticket sales for the 2016 edition of the race that will take place on the 20th November. Over 4,000 runners have already signed up to take part in one of the best Marathons in the world.

As a sign of how much the event has grown, the ticket sales as of today would be more than the total runners in the 1981-2010 races! Of the 4,000 runners already signed up, 2,200 of them are Valencian and 255 are from Madrid.

The statistic that really shines is the amount of runners from outside of Spain that have already signed up. Most of them are returning runners who do not want to risk being excluded form the event as they know that Valencia is the only place to run in November due to the flat course, blue skies, and world class organization. The Valencia Marathon is becoming a firm favorite for runners from Northern Europe, 165 Belgians are already registered and 148 for their neighboring country Holland. Of the approximately 1,000 international runners, 46 countries are present. The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon is a truly international celebration of running.

March 1^st, price change

February registrations started with a bang! The first 1,000 tickets were sold at a special discount as an opening promotion; they sold out in 52 minutes! We expect another rush of sales as runners aim to get their tickets for 45€ before the price rise on march 1^st.

The Valencia Marathon, recently awarded the IAAF Gold Label, will keep the same pricing as the 2015 edition. Runners have until 23:59 on Feb 29^th to buy tickets for 45€. From march 1^st tickets will be 50€ until June 1^st.
