The 25,000 bibs for the 2024 Valencia Half Marathon have flown out the door

9 February, 2024

The Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, organised by SD Correcaminos and Valencia City Council, has sold out its 25,000 available race bibs almost nine months before it is due to take place on 27 October. This is the sixth consecutive year that the event has sold out, but this time it is even earlier (last year it was in April) and with 3000 more places than in 2023.

Of the 25,000 registered participants in this 33rd edition, 52% are runners from the Comunitat Valenciana, 18% from the rest of Spain and 30% from abroad. The number of women taking part has grown considerably, from 27% in 2023 to 30% this year, an increase of three points, which also represents a significant increase in overall numbers, while newcomers to the distance represent 18%. The data also show that the world’s fastest 21K is an almost obligatory event for thousands of runners year after year, as 55% of registered runners are repeaters, having previously participated in the race.

“Although this is the sixth year that we have sold out, the runners never cease to surprise us with their interest in the event. Seeing how the bibs are flying out the door is a boost for us to keep on giving our best and working for another successful year”, says SD Correcaminos President Paco Borao.

Waiting list opens

Runners unable to get a race bib and who wish to take part in this year’s event on 27 October have the opportunity to do so by joining the waiting list which will be opened on Monday 12 February and which will be used to cover the places of registered runners who apply to withdraw due to injury or make use of the refund insurance they took out when they registered.

Premium Experience

Another option for those who wish to run and who have not yet registered is to purchase one of the 100 Premium registrations, which makes the race a VIP experience and offers, in addition to the race bib, extra services, some of them exclusive, including access to the VIP area for the runner and their companion, an official photo at the finish line and a changing room after the race. Premium registration can still be purchased on the official race website.
