The three best races in Spain are once again in Valencia Ciudad del Running

Valencia Ciudad del Running was once again confirmed as the undisputed leader in road races at the Spanish Athletics Federation Awards held on Saturday 27 April in Madrid, where the Valencia Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich and the 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun all won the title of the best in their respective categories.

Valencia Marathon, the best in Spain

The Valencia Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, organised by SD Correcaminos and Valencia City Council, once again received the award as the best 42.195-kilometre race in Spain, as it has been doing since 2014. It is the only race in Spain, and one of only eight marathons in the world, with a World Athletics platinum label, as well as having the greatest number of finishers in the country.

Valencia Half Marathon, flying in first class

The Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, which is also organised by SD Correcaminos and Valencia City Council, was once again the best in the country at its distance. The Valencia 21K, holder of the women’s world record and second fastest men’s time in history, is designed for runners to fly and achieve their best times.

Valencia 10K, nearing world records

For the fourth year, the 2023 Valencia 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun, organised by the Valencia 10K Athletics Club, was the best race at its distance, when the Ethiopian athlete Yehualaw came close to breaking the world record.
