Spanish Association of Sports Journalists launches “record your marathon” competition

The Spanish Association of Sports Journalists in Valencia (AEPD Valencia) has launched the competition “record your marathon” in celebration of the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon that takes place on Sunday the 15th of November 2015.

The competition is for all runners with writing inclinations that have registered for the marathon and 10K. All runners are invited to write a journalistic piece about their marathon experience. The texts (written in Spanish) should be sent to aepdvalencia@gmail.com, admissions are accepted from the 15th of November until the 22 of November, 2015. AEPD Valencia wishes to get involved and show its support for the fastest growing marathon in Europe and the 10K runners. More than 25,000 runners from all over Spain and the world will participate in Valencia on the 15th. The 10K and marathon have a high number of international runners participating.

Francisco Nadal, president of the AEPD Valencia states: “Our city is going through one of its high sporting points, from the association we wish to actively take part and support all the people that do sport and the values inherent; fair play, respecting the rules and your opponent, exceeding your limits…. This is a new project for the AEPD and we hope the contest is a success, I would also like to thank the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon for letting us be part of this great sporting event.

The winning text will be selected by a jury composed of AEPD Valencia members, sports journalists from the city and a member of the marathon committee. The winner will win a voucher with the value of 30€ for sporting goods at InterSport in the Parque Ademuz shop. Second prize is sports treatment massage at the You Clinics.
