One Euro for each finisher goes to charity

15 November, 2015

14,466 Euros raised in this initiative alone

The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon broke many records this weekend. The race is not just about elite runners; the race also rewards the effort of every finisher of the race.

The tick list of finishers was closed on Sunday when Eduardo Catalá Forner from Castellon crossed the line, with a finishing area still full of fans and runners who had finished the race already.

Eduardo finished the race in 6:19:09. When Eduardo crossed the line his effort was rewarded by a one Euro donation from the race to the Spina Bifida Association of Valencia. Eduardo’s Euro added together with all the runners who finished before him meant that this year the race donated 14,466€. The association will use the money to improve the lives of those affected by Spina Bifida in the Valencia region.
