Achieve your Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon, 10K and Half Marathon goals with our traning plans

7 June, 2016

Every year, thousands of runners fly in to Valencia to run in the 3 biggest races of the year. All runners come with two clear objectives: have a great time in Valencia and beat their personal best time. If you have already set your goal for the marathon, 10K and half marathon, you can now download a variety of plans for each race.

Runners, who are great at planning, know that the beginning of Summer is a great time to set goals and start training with more purpose for races in the Autumn calendar. To help you get ready for one of the ‘Valencian Big 3’, the race organizers, Correcaminos Athletics Club, Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the Valencian Government, have provided professionally created training plans for the 3 distances, and for the pace/finishing time that is right for you.

The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon already has over 8,000 runners registered. Whether it’s your first full marathon or you are a marathon veteran, we have the training plan for you. The training plans for the marathon are split over 7 planned finishing times; finishing under 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00 and finishing in 6:00 hours.

The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Half Marathon, an officially registered 21.0975-meter event, has training plans to help you lower your PB, according to your goals and ability. The training plans for the half marathon will help you to finish under 1:30, 1:45 and 2:00, or help you just to finish the distance.

The 10K may be a shorter distance but that does not mean that runners don’t get their own specialized plans. The race is all about speed, the training plans will allow you to run the fastest 10K you can. The plans will help you to train to finish under 40’, 50’, or, for runners with less experience, the final plan will help you get to the end of the race.

The training plans are a great place to start your Summer and Autumn training. The training plans were developed by Miguel Rubio, Spanish National Athletics Trainer and one of the head coaches at Correcaminos Athletics Club, one of the biggest running clubs in Spain.
