Of all the sporting challenges that fill our calendars for the next season the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon should surely be in yours. The event in October has grown year on year to become the running event to be at in October. This is the perfect time of year to to run long distances. In Valencia it is especially suitable as we have blue skies and one of the most spectacular settings in Europe, including a finish line on the water.
The Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon course is ideal; you will be running on a totally flat circuit –click here to see the layout of the course-. This combined with the very agreeable temperatures; between 12-17 degrees makes Valencia one of the best places to smash your personal best and experience one of the coolest cities in Europe.
If Valencia and its marathon are for you then its time to get down to business and start training with our official training plans available on our website. On our official website you can access our newly updated training plans for the 2015 edition of the Valencia Marathon. If you start in good time and follow the plans you have every chance of getting your goals. The training plans were written by Miguel Rubio, National Athletics Trainer and Executive Member of Correcaminos Athletics Club. You can choose the time you are aiming for and the plan that corresponds to it: 3 hours, 3:15, 3:30, 4 hours, 4:30, 5 and 6 hours.

For those of you who are running the 10k we also have expertly written training plans for you. Just because the 10k is shorter it doesn’t mean that you should train less or be taken less seriously. The 10k plans are divided into: 40’, 50’ and finish the race.
