Impuls-a València is the main parallel activity in the Trinidad Alfonso EDP Valencia Marathon. The Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the CIDIDA Foundation organize this charity event.

The fourth edition of Impuls-a València will be presented by the journalist José Luís López and it will start off with a lecture by Cristina Mitre in the conference hall Santiago Grisolía. Cristina Mitre is a journalist, writer and a lecturer. She writes for her popular blog The Beauty Mail (thebeautymail.com), and she has already published two successful books: Mujeres que corren: todo lo que necesitas saber sobre el running (‘Women who run: everything you need to know about running’) “Correr es vivir a tope de power: lecciones vitales a golpe de zapatilla” (‘Running is living life to the fullest: vital lessons on running’).

Mitre also started the social movement ‘Women who run’ in Spain and Portugal, which aims at promoting sports among women and raising funds for childhood leukaemia research.

After her lecture, the documentary Km. 0. Correr, vivir, cambiar…Empezar de nuevo (‘Km. O. Run, live, change… Start again’) will be screened.  This documentary is set in the 5K Circuit of Jardí del Túria, where many runners have shared their experiences and stories since it was opened a year ago. In the documentary, runners tell us about the importance of running and the impact it has had on their daily life.

All tickets sales will be donated to the charity chosen by the Marathon.
